Happy 7th anniversary, iKON!
September 15 is indeed a happy day! Let's take a look back at the happenings on iKON's 7th anniversary.
iKONICs welcomed the 15th on the dot with a special video from iKON exclusive on Weverse Membership. iKON took 4-cut photos with some celebratory props as a gift to fans. The 5-minute-and-so video starts with iKON singing the Happy Birthday song cutely, and ended with some cute photos shared across iKON's official SNS accounts.
The iKON members also did not forget to greet iKONICs personally! iKON also congratulated fans on the 7th anniversary through Weverse posts. Yunhyeong was the first to greet at exactly 12 midnight commenting under iKON Weverse anniversary post.
Donghyuk posted his greetings from New York. His touching message came with a photo of him which is as glamorous as New York's city night.
In the early morning, Bobby took his time to greet. He congratulated iKONICs and stressed it's iKONICs who we should be congratulating instead of iKON. That's so sweet of him!
Jinhwan's greetings came with a photo of him taken from BUT YOU set, wishing happiness for both iKON and iKONICs.
And it seems like Junhoe just reinstalled the Weverse app to post his greetings. Junhoe, the poet that he is, posted his greetings in a very poetic way.
The day was wrapped through a group Weverse live. Donghyuk was still in New York but he made sure to leave a video greeting for iKONICs! In the group live the members read messages from iKONICs, played mini-games like choosing emojis to tell how the konys are feeling right at the moment but the highlight was when iKON opened their time capsule written from last year's anniversary celebration.

Jinhwan: I hope I can meet the fans in person & interact with them. And I hope we can perform on stage. iKON, we’ll be able to see a bright light. Fighting!
Yunhyeong: Yunhyeong in 2022, you’re doing well right? Was the concert fun? Is June still loud? Is Jinhwan hyung DIOR ambassador now? I believe everyone will be happy. I hope you’ll continue to do well like now and let’s treat konics well. Dear myself, I love u.
Chanwoo: If you’re currently doing a live with a smile on your face and in a healthy state, give the fans aegyo three sets. I hope you’re taking part in schedules healthily & happily, and maybe in the future you’ll be able to do concert too, right?
Bobby: Jinhwan-ah, I always gain strength thanks to you. You’ll turn 30 next year. Please show that you’re growing old well. June-yah, I’m curious if things are going well with your acting. I hope all of your wishes come true. Chanwoo-yah, I admire how hard you work. Keep up the work. Yunhyeong-ah, you are blessed and lucky. Thanks for holding on so well. I love you. Donghyuk-ah, thanks for working so hard for iKON. I hope you’ll become a great artist!
Junhoe: I hope everyone is healthy and able to grow more. I hope everyone is able to do a lot of individual schedules. On the 7th anniversary, I hope we all feel happier and more content with various things than now.
iKON also made a promise to iKONICs! iKON went up with missions given by the members which includes a 5-minute cake-making video, a song and dance covers, and a spicy noodles mukbang. The members promised to do the missions before the year ends.
And lastly, iKON wrapped up the live by addressing iKONICs with some sweet and heart-warming congratulatory messages. Jinhwan said, "The last 7 years... there were a lot of fun memories and also tough times. It was eventful. I’m thankful that you are by our side. I hope we’ll be even happier in the future. Both you and us. I love you." Yunhyeong was also in all gratefulness, "Our konics... Thanks for loving the chaotic iKON for 7 years. I hope you’ll love us a lot, more than how much iKON loves iKON. Thank you.” Chanwoo is also the same, "Thank you so much. I hope we can stay healthy and stay together for a long time. Thanks for congratulating us. We’d like to congratulate you as well." Meanwhile, Bobby talked about how both iKON and iKONICs became mature along with each other, "We greeted you through live like this every year. Each year everyone becomes more mature, both iKON and iKONIC. I love that we have grown stronger. I hope we can stay together and grow even stronger in the future. Thank you." And lastly, Junhoe congratulated iKONICs leaving a quote from author Charmaine Aserappa, "Somehow, it’s our 7th anniversary already. I’m happy and grateful that we’re able to interact with you through many ways. I love how all of our past memories cross my mind right now. I hope this kind of moments will continue to happen. I’d like to mention one famous saying. I still read books a lot. Charmaine Aserappa said this, “Trust the cycle of a circle, for what ends will soon begin again”. So even if you’re having a tough time, don’t give up, I hope you’ll overcome it while thinking that this moment might mean a new start. Fighting!"
