iKON’s Jinhwan to talk about dreams, challenges, and forming a family in iKON and iKONICs in his upcoming Mindset Collection

Jinhwan will be sharing his life for the first time through Mindset, a wellness platform program featuring artists.

In a trailer released by Mindset, Jinhwan shares his own struggles on growing as an artist, forming his dream, overcoming his own perfectionist self, and dealing with negative thoughts and emotions. He also gave advice on achieving dreams and trusting oneself.

Jinhwan revealed the extreme measures he had done in order to achieve his dream. Out of desperation, he started to distance himself from his friends to the point his friends thought he was dead. Despite he had a hard time defining the word “Dream” because of his own perfectionist self.

However, he learned how to overcome his perfectionist self by “casting a spell on myself.” He started to believe in himself and that whatever he does is the best.

But of course it is still a long way for the 28-year-old artist. All throughout he learned how to deal with anxiety and loneliness correctly, using this supposedly negative emotions as a driving force to move on to the next level.

It all downs to determination and earnestness. With his own experiences Jinhwan gives an advice on trusting oneself, saying you do whatever you want no matter what anyone says.

Jinhwan’s 16 intimate episodes will be released on September 16 KST at the Mindset app. You can watch the trailer here.
